RCI Points availability

Hi,
I'm about to join RCI points, but they won't tell me whats available until I join. Could someone with points kindly tell me the following availability?

Anything in Kauai or Maui for Late October 08?
Anything in Italy/Switzerland May 09?
Anything in Hawaii in August or Sept? (I know probably impossible)

And lastly, it seems like Orlando close to Disney is available in October, but if you can confirm.

I own my own condo in Mexico, and I can depost 3 weeks for approxmiately 150,000 points per year, so from a points perspective that should go pretty far, but only if there's a place to stay.

As you can see there's a good choice of stuff except for Hawaii during the time you are looking. I didn't even try Switzerland, but some of the Alps Italy are near the border. Depositing weeks for points giving you 150K will get you about 3 weeks vacation, so you really don't "come out ahead" but it does give you choices. The summer (end of June through 15 Sept) are higher cost and therefore you will get less vacation time.

Now, I looked with points in weeks inventory for you. I did not go points for points...that could open up a whole different group of possibilities.

Just curious. Are you thinking of paying a developer for a ''points conversion'' of an existing timeshare? If so, those are often terribly overpriced. Or do you have a whole ownership condo in which there is a program that you can deposit weeks? Again, how much to they want to charge you for that?

If you want to go to Hawaii, you can save the cost of points by using independent exchange company Hawaii Timeshare Exchange Untitled Document For Italy and Switzerland, you can also use independent exchange company DAELive.com Timeshare, Vacation Ownership & Points Clubs Exchange Service , assuming both will accept your deposit, which they likely will.

Hi,
I'm paying $1250 for 5 years, but appox 1/2 of that is for the mgmt to maintain my unit for those 5 years for incomgin reservations. This is a new business model for RCI as we own our condos, they are not time share. I fully own it, just like you would own your own home. It's a 2nd home.

Is that $1250 total for 5 years or $1250 for each of the 5 years???

Where in Mexico is your condo and do you do private rentals????

Also do you have a link to that new RCI program geared to condo owners that you are joining??????

Hi - sorry one more question -
When I check into these "Resorts' - how is the view determined? Is it strictly availability or would they say - Hi - here's your 50,000 point garden view -for $1000 you can have a sliver of ocean?

I'm curious- as these might not all be good deals if there giving you the worst run of the house, then asking for $$$
