I didn't reasonably expect to stay at a Disney Deluxe Villa for seven nights for $600, but I thought even if it was around $1200-1400 it would be worth it. My wife and I were going to get away with our 2-year old in February anyway (to Cape Cod), but a chance to take him to Disney instead on a budget vacation was too much to pass up.

Called almost immediately, waited on hold for 20 minutes.

The week we requested was at the end of February, and she quoted two adults at $2900 for the complete vacation. I asked about the $70 rate in the ad, and she said we'd have to travel closer to January for that. So I said OK, what if we traveled in January. $2400. She said to calculate what our three night full rate was, divide by two (per person), then divide by three nights. $1200 divided by three is $400. How is that even CLOSE to $70 or even $100?

How do they get away with this? What a waste of my time.

Just as an aside, has anyone managed to use RCI points for a Disney vacation? I'd save up my points, but I doubt RCI would ever facilitate letting its members in on that when they can actually sell the resorts instead.

Because they're RCI and, according to some, they ARE the quality exchange company.
