I am watching quite a bit of both conferences this year only because (1) I'm a lifelong Lakers fan, and (2) I enjoy watching the Celtics lose,
and (3) Lebron's amazing.
But, as an avid fan of most every sport, I find regular season NBA games pathetic. There's no defense until about the 4 minute mark, and then only if the outcome's still in the balance.
It's really kind of sad -- some of the world's best athletes with some of the worst work ethic. I much prefer the college game for that very reason. Same is true for football; college is an order of magnitude better than professional.
